They managed to put out six albums in the 90s and one last album in Modern Life is Rubbish quickly sold me on Blur. I also loved Parklife in and The Great Escape in Modern Life is Rubbish featured "For Tomorrow," "Chemical World," "Sunday Sunday," "Star Shaped" & "Miss America." This album was really their first britpop album.

Oct 05,  · 'Starshaped' is a very good documentary to add to your Blur collection. It seems the main focus is on the 'Modern Life is Rubbish' era (no complaints there). It gently grazes towards the 'Parklife' chapter very briefly and it seems to be a product as a result of the 'Leisure' era. The bonus features are great and well worth it for any fan/5(11).

Jun 28,  · Blur has been one of my favorite bands since I borrowed (stole, really) my sister's copies of The Great Escape and Parklife back in the mid 90's. When Blur () was released, I was even more excited: my favorite britpop band tackling left field Pavementesque alt rock while retaining their quirky brit rock sensabilities simply left me floored. It's still one of my favorite albums of all.
